Group Discipleship

(from The Magic of Consciousness – Workshops) [Preparation Press, publisher]

Quinn: “A group disciple is a self-identified unit of consciousness within the Ashram. That ashramic group unit consists of Spiritual Souls who, in a sense, share the same purpose, a ‘portion’ of the ashramic purpose, which is itself a portion of the Divine Plan.”

Angelique: “Like the purpose of the Synthetic Ashram.”

Quinn: “Yes.

“That unit of group consciousness, with a spark of ashramic purpose at its heart, is united by a complex web of ashramic substance.

“Thus, an ashramic group unit is, within the ashram, one in purpose, consciousness, and substance. In other words, it is a single life consisting of multiple lives.

“The central, motivating impulse of the group life is its purpose, and that purpose is the life of the group. It inspires the group members and attracts those who need what the group offers.”

Hal: “The members who need the purpose?”

Quinn: “Umm, no. The group purpose, radiated by its consciousness and carried out and down by its devic life, attracts the body receptive, those whom the group serves by fulfilling its purpose.

“In order to fulfill its purpose and function within the ashram that group unit precipitates itself downward into the three lower worlds, and in turn into time and space. At first, its appearance is as multiple apparently-unrelated personas. However, as those personas grow in consciousness, they slowly become aware of themselves as Soul. As they become aware of themselves as Soul, they become aware of their overshadowing Soul life —their place, function, and activity as a part of an ashramic group unit— and the place and function of that unit within the greater ashramic life.

“From this perspective, the personae of a Spiritual Soul are part of the instrument of the ashramic group unit, and any pattern or condition in any one of those personas exists in the instrument of the group. This must be the case, for they are all part of the same life, whether they are aware of it in time and space or not.”
