The nature of organizations is being transformed by the consciousness and energies of this new age.
When we are drawn together by a common purpose or idea, it is quite natural to want to organize ourselves into some sort of legal entity. However, the old methods of organization are not suitable vehicles for the new energies and ideas.
When the new energies are brought into a group organized along the old lines:
The group cannot contain or move the new quality of consciousness, the new energies, and it tries to reject or suppress them. If the organization manages to overcome the new quality, then it will suppress the new motion is stopped, the organization is shattered by
When disciples “recognize” each other it is as souls, soul to soul. They recognize a quality of consciousness that they have, after long struggle, discovered within themselves. Depending on a variety of factors, that recognition may include the recognition of each other’s place and function within the One Life, or it may not.
However, there is no assurance that fellow disciples will recognize each other at the persona level, nor is it necessary or particularly desirable that they do so.
Please keep in mind that in this Seventh Ray Age, with the Synthetic Energy (Cosmic Second) being brought directly to Earth (via the triangle of the Avatar of Synthesis, the Christ, and the Lord of the World), that the process of manifestation is shifting from Intelligent Activity to the Magic of Consciousness.[1] This includes the process of organizing the disciplic service.
As a result, in this age, Disciplic Work will focus on the magical activity of consciousness, on precipitating the overshadowing Divine Intent into the three lower worlds.
A group will be drawn together by a vague sense of unity of purpose within the higher, spiritual life. They will, as a group, aspire to their purpose and place within the higher spiritual life. As they grasp some portion of their place and function within the Ashramic Life, they will dimply perceive a portion of their purpose, and will, via the magical process, precipitate that group purpose downward into:
The mental plane, where it will organize mental energy into thought-form,
The astral plane, where it will appropriate astral force,
The physical-etheric plane, where it will organize substance into an activity.
The group will then turn the activity of manifesting the outer form of appearance of that energy, force, and substance over to a Deva of Appearance, whose task is to supervise the elementals responsible for creating the outer form.
The group itself does not create the outer form, as that is an activity of the form and, as a group consciousness, it lies outside of their area of responsibility. Instead, with that cycle of their work complete, they continue to the next, and again ascend, in meditation, to at-one with the overshadowing group life within the Ashram, and its purpose, place, and function.
As a result, the group consciousness never identifies with and becomes trapped in the resulting outer form. Instead, it remains free to work the magical process by which it ascends to at-one-ment with itself, and precipitates itself into the three lower worlds.
There are several reasons for this, including the fact the activity of Seventh Ray has been shifted upward in frequency. It cannot now be employed directly in physical-dense ritual, but only reflected therein. Or, more properly, the magical activity of consciousness is reflected into the three lower worlds, and that in turn is reflected into the physical-dense.
Now when a Soul moves through the periphery into the Ashramic Group Life, one takes up one's position and function within an Ashramic Group Unit (such as the Wisdom Group). Now every such Ashramic Group Unit has its karmic position and function within the Ashram, just as every organ has its position and function with the physical body. And, as with the physical-body, the Group Units support each other simply by performing their function.
The Ashramic Purpose radiates out, via the light body of the Ashram, from the heart of the Ashram. Every Group Unit receives, interprets, and carries out that Purpose in accordance with its place and function, and the whole organism (Ashram) works. The Ashramic Group Units in turn radiate out to their portion of the periphery, and the periphery carry the purpose and activity to the rest of humanity.
That is the “organization” of an Ashram, and it’s really all that Disciples need.
While the goal includes reflecting the Life of the Soul into the three lower worlds, and that in turn into the physical-dense, that does not mean creating an outer organization. Any such organization would be an immediate crystalization of substance into form, preventing further Seventh Ray motion. It would also provide a quite unnecessary target for the Dark Forces, and, it would shift the focus of the workers from doing the inner work, to creating and maintaining the outer form (which is _not_ the work of the disciple in any case).
So, in brief, the true disciplic relationship is subjective, and remains so.
As I recall, the Leadership Training text has some comments on this subject.

Glen
