The New Path of Group Initiation

(From an email conversation in 2004)

Re: "Teachers of The Wisdom"

This is a somewhat tricky subject, which tends to be a distraction. Yes, there are some practicing "Teachers" out there, of which I happen to be one (since 1985). However, for many students having a "Teacher" can be more of a distraction than a help. The basic reason for this is related to both the predominant energies of this new Seventh Ray planetary age, and to the New Path of Group Initiation (see chapter 39 of The Nature of the Soul and the "Group Initiation" chapter of the Ashramic Projections book).

Under the old path of initiation one apprenticed to a teacher or "guru" who was both the model of the divine and the intermediary between the chela and the divine. The initiate had achieved union with the Ashramic Group Life, modeled that Group Consciousness for the aspirant and probationer, and provided the connection (conscious and devic) between the aspirant and the Ashramic Group Life. The goal of this old path was to become that "perfected" individual consciousness that is, simultaneously, aware and functioning as the One Life. Initiates and Masters have modeled this for us for ages, our civilization and spiritual teachings are permeated with it, and we aspire to its ideas, ideals, and forms of appearance.

However, that is not the way of the New Path of Group Initiation.

Under Group Initiation we as individualized souls become telepathically at-one with and as a group unit within the greater Ashramic Group Life. That Ashramic Group Unit has a purpose, a fragment of the greater purpose of the Ashram, which is its seed of life and for which it is responsible. That seed of life calls together all the souls within the Ashram who are karmically related to that purpose, and as they consciously identify with and take up that purpose, they become a one life within the Ashram on the Buddhic Plane. As it forms and takes up its function within the Ashram, that Group Unit projects a portion of itself, and thereby its service work, into the three lower worlds, and reflects that portion into time and space.

Thus, the differences between the old and new paths include:

The direction of the movement: While both ascent and descent are present, the old path placed the emphasis on "Ascension" to the One Life (particularly in those spiritual paths that were formulated in the just-completed Sixth Ray age), while the new path emphasizes the descent or manifestation of the One Life (which is quite natural in a Seventh Ray age).

The Source of Instruction: In the old path, the instruction came from a teacher who was both the intermediary and the model. The chela looked to the guru, and found god. In the new path, instruction comes from the seeker’ s Soul. The seeker looks within, and finds the one by becoming divine.

The Goal: In the old path, the goal was to become a perfected being. In the new path, the goal is to become an at-oned group.

Now, the point of all this is that it is not necessarily helpful, on the new path, to go looking for a "Teacher". It’ s often much more productive to study and work as part of a self-initiating group.

Regarding the Seven other "Disciples on the Thread", so far as I know, Lucille never brought though anything specific about them. The general impression was that they were bringing through the Quality of the new Synthetic Ashram (which was then a synthesis of First, Second, and Seventh Rays), each in their own way and not necessarily into words.

As for Lucille’ s works, those can generally be identified as representing one or both of two basic types:

The New Thought-form Presentation of The Wisdom: Lucille formulated portions of this new Idea of Truth (created by the Masters M., D.K., and R. along with the Synthetic Ashram, as the source of the teaching that humanity needs in order to take initiation into Soul Consciousness, as a Kingdom, at the end of this age). These generally took the form of written texts or courses, such as The Nature of The Soul, The Soul and Its Instrument, Corrective Thinking, and Introduction to The Path of Initiation. What we have is only a very small fragment of what overshadows and of what was intended.

Live Projections: Lucille would align with an overshadowing Master, and consciously translate that frequency, quality, and intent into words. (I must emphasize that this was not "channeling" as that term is commonly used today, as Lucille was fully conscious and in control throughout the entire process. In a sense, it was no more channeling than what a composer does when he or she looks at a sunset and translates that image into music.) This included such things as Leadership Training, The Disciple and Economy, Ashramic Projections, and a number of additional works.

As for whether the materials projected through Lucille and published by Wisdom Impressions is the only currently available source of this Wisdom Teaching: I do not believe that it is. However, that is merely my own perception. There is nothing out there that I can point to and say, "this is definitely more of the New Thought-form Presentation of The Wisdom." That does not mean that it isn’t out there, merely that it has not yet entered my brain awareness. If, for instance, it had been projected in some other language than English (and the chances are that it would be) without significantly greater attention and distribution than Lucille’s works have received thus far, then it is highly unlikely that we would become aware of it until we invoked that particular frequency and quality.

This is, however, an entirely secondary question as the primary source of and connection with The Wisdom is and will remain One’s Own Soul, and (as one becomes Group Conscious and takes up one’ s work) one’s Ashramic Group Life. One truly learns and masters The Wisdom only by doing it, by becoming The Path of Group Initiation.
