“Those of you who have received and given serious attention to The Nature of The Soul course of instruction have responded to the Hierarchial note which is now being sounded within the body of humanity. That note affords the probationer disciple an opportunity unparalleled in human history. It presents him with the opportunity to participate in a group initiation which, if successful, during the remaining years of this century, will ensure the mass initiation of humanity into the fifth kingdom of conscious souls.”[1]
“A disciple is responsible for the manifestation of his particular vision for the Divine Plan for humanity. His area and his degree of responsibility are dictated by his vision of The Plan, and his responsibility is to that Plan. Thus, his vision indicates his function.”[2]
In the 1950’s and ‘60’s Lucille Cedercrans projected a vision of The Divine Plan for humanity, a vision in which the entire human kingdom could (if it received the proper training and guidance), achieve identification with and as the Spiritual Soul, at the end of this Age.
The primary responsibility for this unprecedented mass initiation of the entire human kingdom is in the hands of the new Synthetic Ashram, consisting of a blending of the First Ray Ashram under the Master M., a Second Ray Ashram under Master D.K., and the Seventh Ray Ashram under Master R.
As the source of the necessary teaching for humanity, the three Master’s at the heart of the Synthetic Ashram created a New Thought-form Presentation of The Wisdom, a thought-form of Truth with includes everything humanity needs to approach and take the First Initiation into Soul Awareness.
The Synthetic Ashram gathered to itself all of those disciples, probationers, and aspirants who are karmically related to this plan for humanity. Within the resulting Ashramic Group Life is a group whose peculiar karmic task is to present The Wisdom to, and embody it for, humanity. This group life is known as The Wisdom Group.
The Wisdom Group includes, but is not limited to, all of those who have studied The Nature of The Soul and related courses. We are part of a group life that has:
Manifesting the Wisdom Group’s purpose, place, and function is an ongoing process. However, the material projected through Lucille made it clear that the group life was to function through four types of karmic relationships or group centers.
Each of these group centers was to have both an esoteric and an exoteric function. The esoteric function was focused in a particular geographic location, and had the primary karmic responsibility for holding the state of consciousness of that group center. As activities of consciousness, these esoteric functions had to remain subjective. They would descend as far as the physical-etheric, but not below, for any crystallized physical-dense form of appearance would disrupt their function. Thus, the esoteric center functions were never to take on shape and form as formal organizations in the world of affairs.
The exoteric function of a group center was everywhere equally present throughout the outer group life. It reflected the state of consciousness of that center (into energy, force, and substance, and on into the world of affairs) via intelligent group activities. Thus, the exoteric center functions were supposed to take on shape and form as organized activities in the world of affairs.
The four group centers were:The overall group life, and within that life each of the centers, was responsible for holding a particular state of consciousness and for reflecting that state of consciousness into the world of affairs via its energy, force, and substance. In order to accomplish this, the Wisdom Group, and its centers, had to function as one.
“The first step that every member of the entire group must enter into is an agreement that will create a one-pointed focus of the will energy of the group which directs the energy, force, and substance of that group in a specific direction. I am referring to the overall group life and affairs, to all of those, and more specifically to that group nucleus of disciples wherever they are functioning under Hierarchial contacts, those who are endeavoring to work with this advanced Plan. …
“After all those who are functioning as conscious disciples within the group have entered into an agreement, then a daily effort should be made on the part of every disciple in order that the group focus is not only established but it is maintained and the movement of energy, force, and substance given direction. It is maintained sufficiently long to overcome the opposition of the form to this manifestation.
“It would be a group effort, an effort of the entire group of disciples who are consciously functioning within the effort. Therefore, since it concerns the total group, it should be first on the subjective list. If you carry out the subjective effort, the objectification of it cannot help but follow.[3]
Inevitably, humanity and its needs, and The Wisdom Group and its role, have changed since this material was written or projected. Thus, it would not make sense to blindly follow the original vision. However, if we, as a group, practice the inner work as we have been taught, and use that old vision to create an alignment from the present condition to the overshadowing solution, we can renew the group vision of the purpose, place, and function of The Wisdom Group.
“Do not forget that a larger goal, which has to do with the service potential of the group life, is to so condition human consciousness with The Wisdom that humanity will build a new civilization which is founded upon that Wisdom. This is the major goal. A goal toward which you should not fear to look. Fasten your sight upon it. Begin to grasp the great Ashramic Vision by which you are guided, and in that grasping, bring it into actual outer manifestation via your daily activity within the life and affairs of human beings everywhere. This is your service potential as a one life. You are just beginning – hardly grown yet to a maturity in which you can grasp that vision. Ahead of you lie many incarnations dedicated to the fulfillment of this vision. Thus, as a one life, your service potential is great. Together you share that service potential. Alone and separate you cut yourselves off from it.”[4]
“Through meditation they become receptive to the vision of the Plan.
“This is one of the most difficult of all the steps, because the student has so many preconceived ideas as to what the Plan is. The moment the term ‘vision’ is introduced, those preconceived ideas crystallize and it is this crystallization that is seen as the Plan. As a result, aspirants enter another by-path and are again delayed until experience teaches them the fallacy of their belief.
“In an effort to avoid this error, I shall attempt to clarify what is meant by becoming receptive.
“Aspirants must first realize that they could not have truly envisioned the Plan at this stage of development. Any picture that they may have envisioned must be a distortion at best. It could not be otherwise. If this is difficult for you to accept, my brother, you have already entered the by-path. Dare to discard all pictures — all visions of a so-called Plan, for it is only by clearing and stilling the astral body that the Plan can be reflected as it is. It is only by alerting the mind to the Soul that the Plan can be known as the Soul knows it. The vessel must be emptied in order to be receptive. When this state of receptivity is attained, then the Plan is reflected via the mind into the astral body (the womb) to be later precipitated into service activity. Then, my brother, will the light of the Soul pour forth to a waiting humanity.
“I shall now give you a new group meditation, which I shall ask you to incorporate into your meetings, both as a training and as a service. Furthermore, I shall ask that each one of you eliminate your individual meditations, no matter what they may be or how great the sacrifice, and use this one as your daily morning meditation.
